Trent Alexander-Arnold did not have the easiest start of life in Real Madrid, after his controversial relocation from Liverpool earlier in the summer. He was dropped from the starting line-up for last weekend's victory in Real Oviedo after a performance against Osasuna who attracted criticism from supporters.
In recent years there has been a lot of control over the defensive capacity of Trent, and he has struggled in real Madrid in this respect during his early stages. And this has led to reports that he could be replaced by Dani Carvajal as a regular right back for Xabi Alonso-Die in turn led to speculation about his future in the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid, however, has responded to these rumors in a emphatic way. According to Marca, they do not doubt that Trent will be a vital important player for both the present and the future.
Real Madrid insists that Trent is still busy adjusting and assimilating playing for the club. There is a strong conviction that he soon fits perfectly with what Alonso asks for him, but even if it takes months, the plan is to keep counting on him.
It is clear that Trent is still adapting to life in Real Madrid, and because he has spent so many years in the Premier League with Liverpool, it will take him to be fully at ease in the Spanish capital.
During this process it goes without saying that Carvajal fits better, but as time passes, Trent is more and more counted. The first comes at the end of his gaming career and there is no doubt within Real Madrid that they have his successor in the English International.
