Manchester United will like to get their 2025-26 campaign at speed, because they look at their first three points of the season when Burnley visits Old Trafford on Saturday.
Ruben Amorim's side is currently winloos and has lost 1-0 in their seasonal gesture against Arsenal, before he had a one goal lead in a 1-1 draw in Fulham last weekend.
Then, on Wednesday, the Red Devils were stunned by League Two Grimsby Town. They pulled 2-2 in the normal time, but an epic defeat of the penalty shootout, which ended and 12-11, saw both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo Miss from the place Miss.
Only on three previous occasions have they become profitless in their first three league games, but they claimed the title in two of those campaigns (1992-93 and 2007-08). The last time it happened was in 2014-15, when they finally finished fourth.
The Red Devils have made an effort in Old Trafford and have lost eight of their last 13 Premier League matches (with three wins and two draw). Since this run started on December 7 last year, no always present Premier League side has had more home reports in that period, which Tottenham's count of eight matches.
Onana cannot stay outside the efforts of Burns. Mbeumo hits the bar.

In anticipation of Saturday's game, the new signing Benjamin Sesko has been the subject of discussion among his teammates, in which Brazilian Casemiro praises the attacker: “It is clear that he has quality.
“He is a player who will be very important to us. I hope things are going really well for him, because if things go well for him, he scores goals for us! I am sure he will help us a lot with goals.”
In the meantime, Burnley recorded their first points of the season, while Josh Cullen and Jaidon Anthony hit two past Sunderland in a 2-0 win in Turf Moor.
After their victory over the Black Cats, the side of Scott Parker Derby County abandoned EFL Cup-equal game on Tuesday, with 2-1 winners.
Since their opening victory, Parker is full of praise: “So, in general I am really happy, generally satisfied.
“Posals are in the legs for a few minutes [against Derby]; The boys will be in a better place for that and after that there are happy to win the game too.
“As always, this is a long season ahead, just like every season we need every person, every player was really here.”
Players to watch
Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes has had a hand in 10 goals in his last eight Premier League performances against newly promoted teams (four goals, six assists).
The leader of Manchester United has created 41 chances for those performances, with nine that came against Burnley in April 2024, even though they did not help at that match.
Burnley – Josh Cullen
Burnley's captain for their return to the top flight, Cullen handed in the performance of a skipper in their home opener against Sunderland and broke the impasse with a lush effort before he helped Anthony for the second.
He has played every minute of the two games so far, and just like Anthony he is on the board for both goals and assists this term.
Match forecast: Manchester United Win
Man Utd is dominant at home against Burnley and only lost once in their last 25 meetings at all matches (W15 D9), with that defeat that came 2-0 in January 2020.
In the Premier League, United has been unbeaten in their last 23 meetings with newly promoted parties (W20 D3) since a 4-1 loss in Watford in November 2021.
Burnley defender Kyle Walker has won six Premier League matches in Old Trafford, a count only linked by David Silva and James Milner. Victory this weekend would only make him the sixth player who wins there with three different clubs, who have already done this with Tottenham and Manchester City. That list currently contains Brad Friedel, Emile Heskey, Nicolas Anelka, William Gallas and Milner.
For Burnley boss Parker, his only previous Premier League trip came to Old Trafford as a manager in May 2021, when his Fulham side earned a 1-1 draw. English managers have won their last two league matches on the floor with Newcastle United and Graham Potter with West Ham, both with 2-0 wins last season.
However, there has never been a series of three consecutive road at Old Trafford by English managers in the history of Premier League.
