Josh Thomson thinks that a Prime Alex Pereira would fall due to a late, great knockout.
Nobody has torn by the UFC as the former two -division champion. Pereira started a speed run in the middleweight division of the UFC, Ko scored after Ko and then went 1-1 with Israel Adesanya before bouncing back on light heavyweight.
Pereira started with 5-0 out of 205 pounds, with four knockouts in four title fights. Pereira eventually lost to Magomed Ankalaev in the main event of UFC 313 in March, by decision. Recently cast like an A24 film villain, 'Patan' is looking for his real revenge on Ankalaev on UFC 320 on October 4 in Las Vegas.
In anticipation of his sixth straight title fight, fans do not debate online who would win between Ankalaev and Pereira, but instead Pereira and 'Rumble' Johnson, the Bogeyman of the Division in the years before him.

Josh Thomson explains why Anthony Johnson Alex Pereira 'destroys' in Fantasy Fight
Anthony Johnson was one of the largest KO threats in the UFC history, if not, the largest.
Johnson stopped people like Alexander Gustafsson, Ryan Bader, Jimi Manuwa, Antônio Rogério Nogueira, and almost turned out the legendary Daniel Cormier in their two-fight series.
One of Johnson's most brutal ko's came over Pereira's coach and former UFC champion Glover Teixeira in 13 seconds.
'Rumble' died in 2022 at the age of 38. Since his death, Johnson has occasionally been linked to a fantasy fight with Pereira.
The UFC Photoshop even against Pereira in a promo for UFC Super Fights that never took place, such as Tony Ferguson versus Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Former UFC light weight Josh Thomson firmly believes that Johnson Pereira would have in his prime.
“I am a big Alex fan, but Rumble destroys him,” Thomson wrote on X.
'[Too] Quick and much more power than anyone who has already beaten Alex. Plus, Rumble could struggle if it went south.
“You not only rumbled … You paid every time you threw him,” Thomson responded to a fan who did not agree with his take.
'[Johnson] Ko'd people so badly that they discovered themselves, “said the UFC veteran.
I am a big Alex fan, but Rumble destroys him. See you soon and much more power than anyone who has already beaten Alex. Plus, Rumble could struggle if it went south.

Alex Pereira is only eliminated once in his UFC career, who was in his middleweight Rematch against Israel Adesanya in 2023. Pereira is a Muay Thai Striker, a style that many hunters say is 'Tit for Tat' in the stand-up.
Where is Anthony Johnson always in KO victories?
Johnson's name is still at the top of the UFC record books.
The legendary knockout artist won a total of 11 knockout victories in his UFC career and 17 as a professional.
Johnson is bound for the third knockout victories in UFC history, alongside Anderson Silva, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway, Matt Brown and Thiago Santos.
Known for his insane KO power, Johnson was considered one of the absolutely nicest hunters outside the cage.
