Football fans have ridiculed the antics of Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim during the 2-0 defeat, for his side against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Amorim, 40, was taken prisoner during the broadcast of Sky Sports from De Ontmoeting and shifted several small magnets on a tactic board in the Dugout during the 62nd minute of the game.
Although his effect on the touchline led to a Red Devil-Vechtback thanks to late goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, United 12-11 were eliminated on punishments in what was one of the most unexpected results in the history of the club.
Responding to the incident after it had gone viral on social media, various users have amorim disagreement for its tactical effect.
Comedian Jonny Sharples posted a photoshopped picture of a Pokemon Trading Card -Album, with the joke that the Portuguese manager was more interested in collecting cards than coaching his team.
In response, fans made different Pokemon references as an answer, because they spot the performance of Man United.
A user joked: “Someone should have said Onana that he should catch them everything.”
A second added: “Got himself a holographic grimsby, very rare.”
Another noticed: 'probably worth more than the United Squad'.
A further remark was: “Nah who mixes his fire and water types in the folder so early, Guy has no idea.”
The trade card game based on the Pokemon franchise was originally published in Japan in 1996, before he came to the UK in 1999.
Since then, more than 30 billion tickets have been printed, with some rarer tickets sold by collectors for thousands of pounds.
After the loss, Amorim apologized at United fans for the early exit of his party, so that they realistically only leave the FA Cup behind to win this season – and not over the month of August.
Amorim said: 'I just have to say sorry to our fans. We were not even the way we started the game.
'If everything is so important in our club, everything that happened, it is a problem in our club, we have to do so much better.
'The feeling is the same in the penalties. I think football was really honest today – the best team won.
“It should be my job to understand what happened. Again, I'm really sorry for our fans.
'The support they have given me, always with all the defeats they always help the team. Today I have nothing to say. I'm really sorry. It is sometimes too much.
'I think the best team has won, the only team on the field. The best players lose because one team can win against any group of players, and I think the team and players have spoken very hard today, so that's it. '
