Real Madrid no longer consider the exit of midfielder Dani Ceballos, after his failed switch to Olympique Marseille. It seemed that everything had been agreed for a move to the south coast of France, but Ceballos put the institution on hold at the last minute.
Marseille was not willing to wait and pulled the plug out of the deal after two days of conversations with Real Madrid. The deal is said to have seen a loan with an obligation to buy around € 15 million for Los Blancos, but the doubts of Ceballos rose the operation. It is not the first time that a step away from the Santiago Bernabeu has collapsed to the last minute, and there seems to be a certain degree of frustration in the air on the club's air.
According to Marca, Real Madrid has excluded an exit for Ceballos in the last phases of the transfer market. The 29-year-old midfielder will return to training as another member of the team with the same rotational role as he had earlier. Los Blancos was ready to close a deal, taking into account the wishes of Ceballos, but now the feeling that it is no longer worth wasting their time on further negotiations'.
It was rumor that Ceballos had stopped moving to Ligue 1 because of potential interest from former club Betis, with whom he has flirted for several years during a return. Conflicting reports have emerged about their interest, but it seems that they have not made a formal move for him. Cadena Cope says their information is that it was Ceballos who came into contact with Los Verdiblancos.
They say that in order to make Betis a movement, the deal should become more affordable, both with regard to the wages of Ceballos and the compensation required by Los Blancos.
