The deadline of the transfer star is approaching quickly and still Liverpool and Newcastle United have not found a common land when it comes to Alexander Isak, who wants to leave St James' park for Anfield
Emile Heskey believes that an agreement will be reached to see Alexander Isak Newcastle exchanged for Liverpool – and the Sweden International has been tipped as a roaring success in Anfield.
The Premier League champions saw a bid of £ 110 million rejected for Isak at the beginning of the month and have to return with a second offer for the striker, who refused to play for Newcastle and is desperate to move to Merseyside. Last week, Isak, who has not kicked Newcastle since May, published an explosive statement on his Instagram account with underlying promises and lost confidence. The club responded immediately and insisted on the conditions for allowing Isak not yet to have been met.
One of those important conditions is finding two replacements – one for Isak and another for the Callum Wilson that has already been displayed. Until now, the tone has not succeeded in signing Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, both of which came to Chelsea, Hugo Ekitike who moved to Anfield and Benjamin Sesko, who completed a £ 73 million move to Manchester United. A deal for Yoane Wissa from Brentford still has to be agreed with the bees, while two bids for Jorgen Strand Larsen were rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Heskey, however, believes that, with regard to Isak is concerned, a deal will be phased out before the Deadline of Monday 7:00 pm.
“I think [Newcastle and Liverpool ] Will come to an agreement, “said Heskey.” It is disappointing how it actually played, but it probably works in favor of both teams that they will reach an agreement.
“But the reality is, if a club, if you have a contract with a player – you hold the bait. So I don't blame Newcastle at all. They have to try to get the best what they can get out of their acquisition. The WHO that they now have around, and the pressure that is probably there is much different than what I would have had.
“First and foremost, to enjoy it (if the move from Isak to Liverpool happens). The fans are going to love you. One of the best things about Liverpool fans is that they love and go behind their players. I know he is now gone, but look at [Darwin] NUNEZ. There was a lot of pressure on him to score goals, but the fans came behind him, sang his name and made him very welcome when he was on the field. And they are always like that. They will always come behind you, as long as you work and produce hard. “
Former England International Heskey, who spoke with Gambling.com, added that the arrival of Isak would not be a bad thing for the man who currently leads the line, also Hugo Ekitike. He added: “I don't doubt it [Isak] will produce. He will be fantastic when he finally comes. They do need someone else. The reality is that you always need two strikers that challenge each other. Because you push each other to try to be better.
“We played with two in the front, so we had five in my time [at Liverpool]. You always push each other because you are at the largest club in the world and you must always be challenged. You must be challenged to push yourself to do better and do more and more.
“So having someone who pushes these players is the key in every position. If you become complacent, bad things can happen. But I certainly think there is room for another attacker.”
