Xavi Simons: Chelsea and Spurs target in London ahead of possible EPL move

Xavi Simons is in London to talk about his future in the midst of interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.

RB Leipzig apologized the 22-year-old training on Thursday, according to Sky in Germany, while investigating a potential Premier League transfer.

Leipzig wants a package worth around £ 60 million for Dutch international and it seems that London Rivals Chelsea and Spurs will fight it for his signature.

Spurs have made the signing of a NO10 A priority and Simons fits in with the bill. He is a player that they are interested in – although Chelsea is currently considered leaders. After missing Ebereechi Eze at Arsenal, Spurs can be on their care to compete with another rival for another attacking midfielder.

Simons mainly played like a NO8 on the left side of Leipzig's 4-3-3 midfield last season, but he can also play a striker and come from wider positions in the attack.

That makes him an ideal rotation option for Cole Palmer, or an alternative to the broad players of Chelsea or Joao Pedro.

Simons came through La Masia, the famous Barcelona Academy, from where he initially attracted the interest of Chelsea, before he went to Paris Saint-Germain and then RB Leipzig.

Spurs in the hunt for three positions

In addition to Simons, Lucas Paqueta from West Ham and Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa are well loved by Spurs – but both are not considered for sale.

Nico Paz is also admired, but a deal for the como-attacking midfielder is considered a non-starter because of the financial interest of Real Madrid in the player. They have a sale of 50 percent in his contract and a purchasing back clause worth £ 8.7 million.

Spurs also missed Morgan Gibbs-White this summer when he signed a new Nottingham Forest contract.

In addition to a NO10, Spurs wants to sign a left wing player and be aimed at Savinho from Man City. City does not want to sell and would only negotiate if they had signed a replacement.

A left -sided middle behind is also a position that wants to strengthen traces before the window closes.

Thomas Frank who gives the green light for Luka Vuskovic to join Hamburg on loan can be an indication that there is trust in Spurs that a center-back will come in. Ideally, it would be a left feet.

Bayer Leverkusen Center-Back Piero Hincapie had his admirers in the club, but is not a player who is considering Arsenal's interest. Because Frank is often about to a rear three, a late move for a senior defender remains possible.
