Arne Slot shared his thoughts about a “very challenging draw”, while Liverpool taught their eight Champions League opponents in the competition phase, after the draw in Monaco.
Liverpool and Real Madrid set up the draw for the second year in a row, which sets up a potential confrontation with former Reds favorite, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who could be ready to return to Anfield.
The Premier League champions are confronted with a demanding schedule, with Anfield organizing Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Qarabag. Away Trips take Slot's Side to Inter, Eintracht Frankfurt, Marseille and Galatasaray.
After a strong competition phase in the past term, winning seven and losing one of their eight games, Liverpool was eliminated by final winners Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16.

Thinking about the draw, Slot told the Liverpool website: “I think it is first to say that, like last season, it is a very challenging tie, but we knew it would be because in the Champions League, especially with the new format, there is not something like a thing as an easy draw.
Liverpool will again welcome Real Madrid in Anfield – a fixture lock believes that fans around the world will eagerly anticipate.
“Being able to welcome Real Madrid again in Anfield is something special. The match of last season was of course a memorable – and I expect the same this time. That is, I am sure, a fixture that the whole world will look at.
“Personally, it is always fun to play against a Dutch team in PSV Eindhoven, a team that won the league title for two years in a row. The same applies to Galatasaray, who won three in a row in Turkey, and for Qarabag, the champions of Azerbaijan.
“And to also play against sides of the caliber of Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt and Marseille shows the power of this competition.
“None of our competition phase games will be simple, that is clear, but I am sure that our supporters are looking forward to all Anfield games and all road races, all of which are played in large stadiums with fanatic and passionate fans.
