Darren Till’s UFC career peaked when he left Hall of Famer crumbled on the floor with first-round KO

Eight years before his upcoming misfits-box fight, Darren Till made a statement in his very first UFC Main Event.

The UFC career of Till did not eventually go as he had planned. The scouser was once one of the most promoted prospects in the promotion, while he rose through the ranks with a number of impressive versions.

'The Gorilla' left Mma's top organization at the beginning of 2023 in the midst of a difficult period. Tills loss of submission to Dricus Du Plessis, a Future UFC Middenweight then marked his third consecutive defeat and fifth loss in six fights.

But although his stint in the Octagon may have ended with disappointment, this does not mean that his UFC CV is absent from memorable triumphs, including a brutal representation in his very first headliner.

Till was unbeaten in MMA on the way to his only UFC title in 2018. And one of the most important results that he catapulted in a confrontation with Tyron Woodley was perhaps the best performance of his career.

In 2017 'The Gorilla' headed a UFC fighting evening in Gdansk, Poland. TO was opposed to fan favorite Donald Cerrone, a former lightweight title -Uitdager who would be initiated in the UFC Hall of Fame in 2023.

It took the scouser a little more than four minutes to make a statement, because until Cerrone walked through Cerrone quickly. After a vicious combination, the veteran put on wobbly legs, the rebellious ended up a brutal elbow to get closer to the finish.

An absolute attack of bumps followed when Cerrone covered, which eventually crumbled against the cage when the referee intervened for the TKO interruption of the first round.

Till would beat Stephen Thompson in his second main event before he was submitted by Tyron Woodley in his title shot – a result that caused a downward spiral that eventually left the UFC 'the Gorilla' earlier than expected.

Darren Till seems to go 3-0 in Misfits Boxing against Luke Rockhold

Since he brings his UFC official period to an end after a disappointing run of three straight losses, Till has returned to winning ways in the ring.

After beating Anthony Taylor in his professional boxing debut last January, Darren defeated Stewart at Misfits Boxing 21 in May.

'The Gorilla' will now expand its perfect record in the crossover promotion to 3-0 next Saturday, then to the headlines against Luke Rockhold at Misfits Boxing 22.

The couple is at the top of a line-up in the Ao-Arena of Manchester, who also has another ex-PUC star in Tony Ferguson and the controversial Dillon Danis. 'El Cucuy' will perform in the Co-Main event against internet personality Salt Papi, while Danis competes in Misfits' very first MMA competition.
