Man Utd injury news vs Burnley, forgotten Amorim favourite could finally return

Rúben Amorim was finally able to see the return of one of his forgotten stars as Manchester United host Burnley in Old Trafford.

Manchester United returns on Saturday afternoon to Premier League promotion as Rúben Amorim's side of Welcome Scott Parker's Burnley at Old Trafford.

It has been a difficult start of the campaign, with United 16th in the table at just one point of two games, after he had had the defeat against Arsenal and was held by Fulham.

Their most recent outing only contributed to frustration. Road to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, United fell 2-0 in the back in the first half before he mounted a comeback, but to be defeated in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Back on Thuisgras this weekend, Amorim would like his team to finally deliver their first victory of the season.

Mazraoui could return versus Burnley

Noussair Mazraoui has become a rather unprocessed player in the past month or so, because they cannot be seen in United since their preseason against Leeds United mid -July.

The Moroccan international was a favorite of Amorim's last season, but was not available due to a thigh injury. Amorim, however, confirmed at the end of last week that Mazraoui could possibly return this week.

“No, maybe he will return next week, we will see,” Amorim said on Sunday afternoon. “But he is in the neighborhood, we are just a few exercises with him to make sure that he will have no other problem.”

In the meantime, United hopes the return of Lisandro Martínez to action shortly after the club returns from the international service while continuing his rehabilitation, while all other players of the first team are fit to play.

Amorim has to make up for a bad start versus Burnley

The opening of three games of Manchester United were far from ideal, with Rúben Amorim still haunting his first victory since he was in charge.

The club spent more than £ 200 million on four new players in the summer, with controversial arrivals Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško brought in to spear a new era.

Yet the season started with that narrow 1-0 defeat against Arsenal, the draw against Fulham and the unforgettable defeat against Grimsby.

After a lively and encouraging campaign for the season, Amorim quickly investigated, with expectations unfulfilled and patience inside and outside the club that starts to wear thin again.

With the Burnley -the only game left for the international break and the head coach would be said to have crunch conversations with his bosses after the game, the coming match could be the last chance for him to save his job.
