If any team from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid needs centre-backs, it is probably Los Blancos. Yet they follow the other two in the hunt for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, who is out of contract this summer and can sign a pre-contract with one of the three in just over two weeks.
In the summer, despite a late interest from Barcelona, it looked like Tah would leave for Bayern, but Bayern would not increase their €5 million offer to the €25 million Leverkusen had requested. The 28-year-old has been courted by all three, with recent reports in Catalonia claiming the Blaugrana have come close to agreeing a contract for Tah.
Insider Christian Falk has confirmed to The Daily Briefing that this is not the case, and Bayern are still in the race for Tah with Barcelona. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is still interested, but is behind the other two.
