Kylian Mbappe will miss Real Madrid's LaLiga clash with Rayo Vallecano this weekend but Eduardo Camavinga is fit enough to return, Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.
After becoming the ninth player to score 50 Champions League goals in Madrid's 3-2 win over Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday, Mbappe was forced off in the 36th minute with a thigh injury.
The Frenchman was replaced by Rodrygo in midweek and Ancelotti confirmed Mbappe had not recovered in time but was confident the problem was nothing serious.
Camavinga, meanwhile, suffered his injury in the 2-0 defeat away to Liverpool in November but has accelerated his recovery and is ready to play for Los Blancos.
“Kylian doesn't mean it, he won't be here tomorrow, but he will travel to Qatar [for Wednesday’s FIFA Intercontinental Cup final] and there we will assess the risk. Camavinga is doing well, he is available for tomorrow,” Ancelotti said.
“The last few breaks he's been here, resting, working… you don't know. Luckily he'll only be out for a short period of time and he won't lose what he's achieved lately.”

Mbappe is Real Madrid's top scorer with nine league goals in 15 games so far, although the club is two points ahead of Barcelona in LaLiga.
After losing 2-1 at Athletic Bilbao in the league, they bounced back with a 3-0 win in Girona, followed by a Champions League win over Atalanta in midweek.
Ancelotti acknowledged that victory over Serie A-leading Atalanta could be a big moment in their season as their passage to the knockout rounds is not yet assured.
“We have had a tough evening. There was a lot of effort and attitude. Collective work. It was a complete match that obviously creates optimism,” he said.
