Incoming England head coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed he will open the door for an international return for Ben White when he takes charge in 2025.
White has not played for the Three Lions since ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which he left early after a reported row with the coaching staff.
Previous boss Gareth Southgate announced in March that the Arsenal defender was continuing to rule himself out of the squad, but Tuchel plans to put that attitude to the test.
Tuchel said after yesterday's World Cup qualifying draw: “I will contact him, it has to be a clean start and a clear story.

“From January I will be in the stadiums. I will not distract the players, but they just need to know: 'Okay, the boss is there'.”
White is currently recovering from knee surgery but could add to his four international caps in March when England play Albania and Latvia at Wembley in the first two qualifiers.
Serbia and Andorra are also waiting as Tuchel looks to complete the first phase of his stated goal of winning the World Cup in the US in 2026.
