Barcelona fume at “double standards” involving Vinicius Junior and Hansi Flick

Real Madrid remained furious on Saturday evening after the 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano, especially regarding several refereeing decisions. However, one that has been indicated may have gone in their favor concerns Vinicius Junior.

During the second half in Vallecas, Vinicius was shown a yellow card for dissent after shouting on the pitch from referee Juan Martinez Munuera in the race. He was perhaps lucky to avoid further punishment, although it does mean that he will not be able to play against Sevilla next weekend due to suspension.

However, Barcelona feel insulted because Vinicius was only warned about the incident, according to MD. They especially feel this way when they take into account Hansi Flick's dismissal against Real Betis last weekend, which subsequently earned him a two-match touchline ban.

Referees are always a polarizing debate in Spanish football, especially when it concerns Barcelona and/or Real Madrid. It is no surprise that the two clubs are clashing over this issue.
