Rayo Vallecano manager admits to fortune against Real Madrid

Real Madrid was very frustrated after not beating Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening. Carlo Ancelotti's side were held to a 3-3 draw in Vallecas despite believing they were on the wrong side of the referees' decisions.

The big one involved Vinicius Junior and Abdul Mumin. The Rayo defender appeared to catch Vinicius in the penalty area but no foul was committed on the pitch or by VAR, much to Real Madrid's annoyance.

According to Marca, Rayo head coach Inigo Perez admitted that he thought his team was lucky at the time.

“I don't like lying, I think it's Mumin who kicks (Vinicius). I always try to be honest and when I saw it I said I could whistle it, but also not. These are delicate games where you have to be extremely careful with VAR.

Real Madrid will undoubtedly be very annoyed by the matter, as they have relinquished the advantage they had over Barcelona.
