Pep arrives back at his apartment and still takes time to sign a fan’s shirt

Pep Guardiola looked somber as he arrived at his apartment in central Manchester after Sunday's 2-1 derby defeat to Manchester City.

Man United scored two late goals through Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo to hand City their eighth defeat in eleven games.

Guardiola still took time to sign a lucky fan's shirt as he arrived at the 16-storey building, where his apartment is located at Deansgate City Suites.

Two floors are occupied by private apartments, and it is here that Guardiola spends his free time away from the sidelines.

And he will certainly need some rest after City's recent poor form. The champions are fifth in the Premier League, nine points behind top team Liverpool, who still have a game in hand.

Their hopes of winning a fifth consecutive Premier League title are diminishing by the week.

City struggled to create much after Josko Gvardiol's opener and that will hurt Guardiola after such a disappointing run of form.

The Spaniard regretted his side's performance and admitted he has no solution for their late poor performance.

'It is what it is. What can I say? We can't blame this player or that one, that's not it. It's the season, it's a tough season,” he told Sky Sports.

'We didn't play at our best. We are not our best and we are struggling a bit.

'I don't think it was the heaviest defeat in nine years. Champions League defeats more difficult. But right now we need results to improve our mood.

'It's getting worse. I have to find the solution. So far I haven't found it and this is the truth.'

The 53-year-old, who signed a contract extension last month, again complained of a defensive capitulation after 116 disastrous second-half seconds to give United an unlikely derby victory at the Etihad.

Guardiola accepted blame for the dismal form, saying: 'I'm the boss, I'm the manager and I'm not good enough. It's that simple. I have no defense. I'm the boss, I don't find a solution, to find a way to talk to them.

'This is a big club and if you lose eight, something is wrong. You're 3-0 against Feyenoord and you draw… do you think it's because of the injuries? No.

'Football is about emotion. We are more anxious with and without the ball. The worst thing is that you have no composure and composure. What does it get you? Momentum and confidence. I've often said: relax.

'I'm not good enough to make the players feel that. I really want it.'
