Brazilian giants Corinthians have been given a potential boost in their reported bid to bring Paul Pogba to Sao Paulo, with an escort website offering some financial help.
Paul Pogba is likely to return to the grass after his four-year drug ban was cut to just 18 months earlier this year, meaning he could make his comeback as early as March 2025.
The French World Cup winner was on the books of Juventus when he made his last appearance in September 2023, but has since parted ways with the Italian giants.
As such, there have been numerous links with clubs across Europe, with Marseille having emerged as a destination and former West Ham cult icon Dimitri Payet already endorsing a potential move.
Meanwhile, a shock move to Manchester City – his former club Man United's arch-rivals – had emerged as an option, although the player is said to be reluctant to return to Manchester.
Now, however, Corinthians' shock interest in the player appears to have gained momentum, with escort website Fatal Model said to have offered the club around £515,000 per month ($R4 million) to facilitate the move.
According to Brazilian outlet Portal Leo Dias, Fatal Model has made it clear that they are interested in helping Corinthians in this venture.
Fatal Model already has links in Brazilian football, most notably as a sponsor of Serie A team Vitoria, and director Nina Sag has described Corinthians as a club 'already on our interest list'.
“We would like to express our interest in actively contributing to making this operation possible, which certainly represents a unique opportunity for all involved,” said Sag.
'Fatal Model has always supported sports. This time we saw an opportunity to strengthen ties with a club that was already on our interest list.'
Portal Leo Dias added that Fatal Model's board had already started discussions with Corinthians several months ago during a visit to the club's headquarters.
The publication also adds that Corinthians president Augusto Melo is keen to bring the player to the club.
Pogba reportedly told influencer Luva de Pedreiro that he would love to work with Memphis Depay in Sao Paulo, and joked that he would accept a contract 'for free', although it would probably go without saying that Pogba would receive a very high pay package.
