The January transfer window is still two weeks away, but talk surrounding Manchester United is already dominated by what they will do.
United host Bournemouth on Sunday in their last game before Christmas. And boss Ruben Amorim hopes owner Jim Ratcliffe can offer him several gifts during the transfer window.
One player who could well be linked with a move to Old Trafford is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is a free agent after leaving Juventus and former United star Dwight Yorke believes he would be the perfect signing for Amorim.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford appears to be heading out the door after his impressive interview earlier this week. Here, Mirror Football collects all the latest Manchester United transfer news.
Pogba tipped for return
United icon Dwight Yorke has urged his former side to sign Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is now free to play after serving a ban for doping and is a free agent after leaving Juventus.
“Paul Pogba is better than what we have, that's for sure. Whether the fans will welcome him back and make life easy for him, I don't know, that could be the problem he faces,” Yorke told sportslens .com.
“A fit Pogba, who plays football the way he can play football, will definitely add value to the team. He's a sensational player; he's a really good talent. He offers that little bit of an X-factor by being there. He does things that no other player can do.”
United tracking Italy star
United are tracking Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco as Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his options on the left side of defence. Tyrell Malacia has only just returned from an injury that saw him miss all of last season, while Luke Shaw is struggling to stay fit.
According to Tuttosport, Dimarco has emerged as one of their top targets as they look for a new left-back. Amorim has drawn up a shortlist of potential targets, including Dimarco.
The Italian is a product of Inter's youth academy and is a youth fan of the club, which makes things difficult for United. The left back has made a total of 156 appearances for Inter in all competitions.
Rashford's future outlined
Legendary United captain Roy Keane has advised Marcus Rashford to step out of his comfort zone and secure a bold move abroad. Rashford has made it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford and was previously linked with a move to PSG.
On Overlap's Stick to Football podcast, Keane responded to Rashford's impressive interview. The Irishman said: “I don't really care what he said, even if it's a bit long, but it's exactly right.
“Sometimes a deal works for everyone; it's been going for a year or two now. There's clearly some talent there and he's been at the club since he was a kid. A change would probably do him a lot of good, for him and his team and family to go abroad.”
