PSG links to Juventus’ Nicoló Fagioli shut down
A rumor disappeared as quickly as it was created: Fabrizio Romano has denied reports in Italy that Paris Saint-Germain is considering a move for Juventus midfielder Nicoló Fagioli (23).
La Gazzetta dello Sport had touted PSG as a potential destination for Fagioli, who according to Italian media could have been used as an intermediary in the deal to bring Milan Škriniar (29) to Turin. The Slovakia international is out of favor at the Parc des Princes and that is why the reigning Ligue 1 champions are not against a move in January, while Juventus are in the market for a central defender following an injury to Gleison Bremer.
However, PSG is not keen on a loan deal and would prefer to fire Škriniar permanently. By selling Fagioli to Les Parisiens as part of the deal, Juventus could have raised funds to make a move for Škriniar. However, Romano understands that PSG are not working on a deal to sign Fagioli, worth €25 million. It is not the intention to sell the midfielder in January.
