Anthems done, handshakes with Sylvinho and Pablo Zabaleta in the opposite Dugout Complete and Thomas Tuchel – straight from a Marks & Spencer – catalog, in his only nod to Gareth Southgate – stared at the Royal box.
His family was nearby. He stood for a moment to find them, blew a kiss in that direction and the house of the German England was going on.

Team selection
The call that the most intrigues provoked was omitted Marc Guehi, who had started nine of the previous 11 internationals, and instead a debut from Dan Burn.
That could be the desire for a balance between the right and left-foot center halves, but it is undoubtedly a big decision to leave someone who is so integral on the run to a European final and one to view in the near future.
Burn had an eventful first half hour, a mix with Jordan Pickford and gave the ball away a few times in the first minutes. However, continuing the lines of the Newcastle defender offered England some incision.
Way of behavior
Tuchel could not sit still, outside the edge of his technical area that led traffic for most of the night. There are clearly large tweaks in the style of England that he wants to implement and his own achievements were proof that he was not all talked about in the week.
Regular thumb up when England quickly moved through midfield, a subconscious tic and Tuchel generally wears emotion on his face, shivering when his side seemed more heavy.
Harry Kane regularly received instructions when he dropped from the front and there was spontaneous applause from the head coach when his plan was properly implemented. In that sense, Tuchel sometimes looked like a supporter.
Bellingham fords
It has threatened to be the dilemma of a generation: how the man who leads England can fit both Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham in a starting XI without disturbing the balance.
Someone had to connect one of them to say that they played away from No. 10 and Tuchel did that as one of his first orders, Foden found himself on the right.
Tuchel will want to build this team around Bellingham, whose skillful work for the debut goal of Myles Lewis-Skelly has demonstrated why they want him in this free role.
Style
Sometimes there is just a feeling in a stadium and there was certainly a faster pace for the attacks of England.
The formation, generally a 4-2-3-1, was fundamentally no different, but there was more a first zipper.
Set-pieces
Sugguing that Tuchel's idea of the English identity includes solid set pieces and would be somewhat reductive, but it is clearly an area that he wants to exploit.
Assistant Anthony Barry is known for his work at Dead Balls and the way in which England easily got Burned with three consecutive corners that there has already been a considerable amount of work.
