Alisha Lehmann has brought the Jogo Bonito to the sand of Dubai in a warning for her bosses of Switzerland: don't overlook me for the European championship.
Juventus star Lehmann, who has a controversial relationship with former Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz, has been omitted in the penultimate international break before the tournament due to an injury.
But she was not in the mood to have the setback down, while she took a football, a mobile phone and a smile on a beach in Dubai for a Sunday morning training.
The attacker, 26, posted a video on Instagram of hers to subtract different skills and to complete exercises on bare feet in a scene that is more reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro than the United Arab Emirates.
Thanks to the crystal clear waters, Lehmann did keepy-ups, volleys, shuttle runs and passing exercises.
Lehmann, who used to play for Villa, West Ham and Everton in the Women's Super League, has recently been back to England as a coach in the Nieuwe Baller League next to Maya Jama.
The Six-a-Side tournament, full of former football players and social media stars, is on Sky Sports and YouTube every Monday to mid-May.
Lehmann was previously involved in the first version of the Baller League in Germany in 2023.
She will hope to make the euro team of Switzerland, but it will be a fight after she also missed the international break in February due to a thigh injury.
Switzerland Baas Pia Sundhage has insisted that there is a way back for Lehmann, but admitted that her injury has hindered her business, with the euros in her home country now only two months away.
“We want to put together the best team, maybe not with the best players,” said Sundhage. 'The doors are open to everyone. At the end of the day there is a chance for everyone. '
Sundhage explained Lehmann's absence and added: 'She was injured and has not played for Juventus for a long time. She needs time to show that she belongs to the team. '
Switzerland is placed in group A for Euro 2025, next to Norway, Finland and Iceland. Their first match will be against Norway on July 2 and it is far from guaranteed that Lehmann will be part of the team.
Lehmann came to Juventus with her friend Douglas Luiz last summer.
But she only played 702 minutes in all matches and scored twice.
Luiz also struggled in his first season with the men's team, and scored a goal in none of his 22 performances.
He was sidelined with a hamstring injury, while last month Juventus fired their manager Thiago Motta in the weekend after he fell from the top four in the Serie A and named Igor Tudor in his place.
It has been a difficult period for the couple with their respective football career, but Lehmann is still enjoying success away from the field.
In February she drew a new lingerie deal with the Italian fashion brand, Toenis Underwear and modeled their collection for Valentine's Day.
