Earlier this week, rumors began to come that Pico would immediately debut against number one Competier Movsar Evloev.

Nevertheless, Evloev recently closed the rumors and claims that the fight is not happening and that he will wait instead at the height of the UFC 314 event between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes.

However, Pico has revealed that the fight came very close to the agreed and claimed that it is a good sign that the promotion would immediately throw him in the top five.

“It was real, I received a phone call from Ali (Abdelaziz) asking if I could fight on April 17, I said,” Of course, who am I fighting? ” And he said, “Movsar.” “Pico told Mmajunkie.

“That is a great fight for me, I don't think he knows how good my wrestling is, and he said that Movsar also agreed. I was a bit surprised, but in the end it didn't happen, but it was a good sign that they could fight the idea to fight so high,” Pico continued.

Aaron Pico confirms that he was “pretty close” at the opposite Movsar Evloev in his UFC debut on 17 May.

“It doesn't happen, but it was a good sign that they had that idea of (I) fighting a man who is arranged so high.”

Who could make Pico his UFC debut?

Because the 28-year-old is probably not fighting the Russian competition, fans wonder who the Californian could fight in his debut.

Former UFC -Bantam weight champion Aljamain Sterling has been vocal on social media about his next fight and claims that he would like to fight on the International Vechtweek at the end of June.

Sterling is in the top 10, so the fight can be very logical for Pico who makes his debut. If that fails, a fight against the number seven, Arnold Allen, can also be logical with him looking for an opponent.
