Tammy Abraham admitted that he did not like to score Roma against his parent club after he had helped AC Milan to make progress in the Coppa Italia.
Milan's 3-1 victory over Roma in San Siro booked their place in the semi-final of the competition, where Abraham scored twice in the first half before Joao Felix marked his debut with a second half of a strike.
Abraham became the first Milan player who scored two or more goals against Roma in all competitions since Zlatan Ibrahimovic (October 2020 in the Serie A).
He is also the third player who scores for both clubs in the Coppa Italia in the last 20 seasons (since 2005-06), after Marco Borriello and Stephan El Shaarawy.
“Everyone knows how I feel about Roma, it's a club that means a lot to me. It wasn't fun,” Abraham told the broadcasting media set after he was booed by the road fans.
“I think they thought I was celebrating, but I didn't celebrate it, I just thanked God. This is football, it happens.”
