
Wrestling AC Milan recovered from admitting two early goals to take a dramatic 2-2 draw against visiting Fiorentina in the Serie A on Saturday.
The hope of the hosts to qualify for the Champions League continues to fade, and they were two goals in the first 10 minutes of this match.
Things started badly for Milan when Malick Thiaw Fiorentina led with its own goal. Road to the front Albert Gudmundsson dribbled past their defense to hit a tight corner and Thiaw bundled the ball into his own empty net.
Moise Kean doubled the benefit of the visitors three minutes later and shot a first shot up close to convert a delicious Dodo pass from the right.
The Italy before the forward Tally to 17 for the season, was only behind the Mateo Retegui (22) of Atalanta (22) among the Italian top scorers.
Milan came back in the 23rd minute through a Tammy Abraham strike. The English striker played a two with Christian Pulisic on the edge of the box before he defeated David de Gea with a low effort.
Abraham could have leveled two minutes later, but was blocked by the Fiorentina defense.
Fiorentina thought they had restored their lead of two goals just before the break due to a great long -distance shot by Luca Ranieri, but the goal was excluded for an error on Pulisic in the build -up.
An improved Milan returned for the second half and Fiorentina Keeper de Gea showed some skills when he denied Tijjani Reijnders and a point-white range follow-up through the lively Pulisic.
But the Spaniard was unable to deny the first half of Luka Jovic after 64 minutes when the former Fiorentina striker held on a defense pass from Fikayo Tomori to score in his second game in a row with a low effort of the penalty spot.
Dodo then thought that he gave Fiorentina a final gasp victory with a volley of a beautiful long cross by Nicolo Fagioli, but his goal was abolished for offside.

After they were admitted twice early when they lost 2-1 in Title years Napoli last weekend, Milan has now won only two of their last seven league matches, causing their chances to secure a top-four finish.
They are ninth in the table on 48 points, four points behind the eighth placed Fiorentina and eight of the fourth placed Bologna, who will organize Napoli on Monday.
The last time Milan ended outside the Serie A top four was in 2019-2020.

Milan fought back to claim a point about this, and they are now one of the two teams – level with Bologna – who have received the most points from losing positions in the Serie A this season (16).
This was the first time that Fiorentina has drawn a Serie A match after continuing with two goals since August 2023 when they also pulled 2-2 against Lecce.
It meant that the former goalkeeper of Manchester United de Gea could not celebrate that he played his 500th game in the top five European competitions with a victory.
It was the 200th such appearance in a top-five competition for in-form Kean, and he has now noticed against Milan for three different Series A teams, making the Rossoneri the first club that he achieved that impressive performance.
