AC Milan 3-1 Roma: Joao Felix marks debut in style as Abraham punishes parent club

AC Milan sealed their progress to the last four of the Coppa Italia with a 3-1 defeat of Roma in San Siro.

Tammy Abraham played for the Rossoneri against his parent club, with the former Chelsea striker on loan in Milan from Roma.

He scored twice in the first half, before Joao Felix marked his debut in Milan with a sensational finish to close the victory.

Abraham brought Milan ahead in the 16th minute, on the way home of Theo Hernandez's excellent cross.

The 27-year-old was again on target-wow, just before half-time, when he ended at the end of a radical team movement, with Hernandez again provided the assist.

Roma replaced Artem Dovbyk pulled one nine minutes back into the second half, but Joao Felix came from the bank to restore Milan's lead with two goals with an agile chip.

Tijjani Reijnders changed shortly thereafter into his own network, although the goal was rejected after a VAR check that was considered an offside in the structure, while Milan stood to set up a semi-final against Inter or Lazio.

Data Debrief: Giants of Italy

Milan has now reached the semi -final of Coppa Italia 25 times. Only Inter (29) and Juventus (36) have achieved more occasions the last four of the competition.

In the meantime, Abraham became the third player who scored for both Roma and Milan in the Coppa Italia in the last 20 seasons (since 2005-06), after Marco Borriello and Stephan El Shaarawy.
