Sergio Conukicao confirmed that AC Milan will be Kyle Walker without a wounded right back when they visit Torino this weekend in the series.
The former Captain of Manchester City joined Milan for the rest of the season in January, with the Italian side the option to buy the 34-year-old. Since his move, Walker has made six performances for the Rossoneri.
Milan also has to deal with injury problems for other important players, while they want to jump back from their Champions League exit.
They suffered a shock loss for Feyenoord, who eliminated them with a 2-1 total play-off profit to earn a place in the last 16 in Europe Elite Club competition.
“Walker is not available. For the rest, it depends on everyone's situation. [Christian] Pulisic certainly does not have 90 minutes at a physical level, “Conceicao told reporters.
“[Santiago] Gimenez gets better every day, but he is still not at the top that we want him to be. For the way I want to play, he must be physically at the top, he must be intense for 90 minutes.
'I found many players struggling and wounded a lot when I arrived. I am thinking too [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek. Now Walker. But to play the three days, in the time I have been here, we are always at the point and it is not easy to manage. “
Milan is seventh in the Serie A-classification after 24 games and trail fourth placed Juventus, who played a match with five points more. Torino is 12th.
Since the first competition match of Concuyo with Milan (on January 11 against Cagliari), the Rossoneri have picked up the joint points in the Serie A: 14 (W4 D2 L1), level with Roma, Juventus and Inter.
In the Serie A they are currently on an unbeaten streak of four games and win their last two without giving in to Empoli and Hellas Verona.
However, Torino is unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 home games against Milan in the Serie A (W4 D6); The only victory for the Rossoneri was a 7-0 victory in May 2021, the joint defeat of the Granata in the competition.
“Without a doubt it is a very important match against a difficult opponent. They only lost in Bologna in 2025, and historically it is a difficult challenge for Milan,” said the Portuguese coach.
“The attitude must be that tomorrow is our Champions League final, and we will have to do this in every challenge from here to the end.”
Conuuicao said he was used to the pressure, after he joined the sevenfold European champions in December after an enchantment at Porto.
The 50-year-old, who replaced fellow countryman Paulo Fonseca, has a contract with Milan until June 2026.
“I know that the history of Milan is fantastic, consisting of great protagonists among coaches, players and managers. I have enormous respect for this history,” Conceicao added.
“The moment you don't win, there is more talking in a team of this size and more vulnerability.
“I knew it would be difficult. I am here because it is a big challenge for me. I had other offers, but I chose here because I like difficult things.”
