AC Milan make offer for 22-year-old midfielder previously targeted by Atletico

Valencia star Javi Guerra is confronted with a new uncertain summer, while Europe's great sides are again investigating a movement for him. The 22-year-old midfielder is currently in action on the under-21 euros with Spain, but clubs are already making movements for him.

Since his breakthrough in the first team under Ruben Baraja, Guerra has hit on the edge of a move to Atletico Madrid. A deal was agreed and Guerra was in a train to Madrid, when Los Rojiblancos decided to sign Conor Gallagher instead. However, they have maintained their interest in him because he is a favorite of director of Football Carlos Bucero, but they first move for Real Betis' Johnny Cardoso.

Initially, Newcastle United and Manchester United were the two giants who showed the strongest interest in Guerra. However, that interest has cooled down before Guerra found his shape again this season under Carlos Corberan. At the beginning of May, however, it was reported that Real Madrid Guerra had on their shortlist for a possible addition this summer.

The first team to take a step this summer is AC Milan. With Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah on their way out, Voetbal Italia quotes a report from Sky Sports Italia, saying that the Rossoneri has made a € 16 million bid on Guerra with a € 4 million available in variables. Guerra currently has two years left on his new deal – it is not yet clear what the answer from Los Che was.

Speaking with Cadena Cope during the weekend, Guerra confirmed his dedication to Valencia. Los Che, however, has the habit of selling their young talent, as the out exit of Giorgi Mhaldashvili, was with Liverpool last summer.

“I am from Valencia and I am a fan of Valencia, and there is no better place to pursue a career. It is true that the club is going through a period that is not one of the best financial in history, but I have always said that I am going to work hand in hand with the club, and my desire is to be in Valencia.”
