Borussia Dortmund could get a boost from the return of Karim Adeyemi to the starting line-up against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
The 22-year-old, who was an unused substitute in Dortmund's 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday, has been out of action since suffering a muscle injury in October.
Adeyemi played just five games in the Bundesliga before his injury, but still has the most assists of any Dortmund player in the league (three), while also scoring twice and creating nine chances so far this season.
“Karim already wanted to play against Barcelona,” Sahin told reporters. “He trains very well, he is very stable.
“He looks fresh and is certainly a candidate for the last two games of the year.”

Sahin's side have been hit by injuries in recent weeks, with defenders Nico Schlotterback, Niklas Sule and Waldemar Anton currently absent, while the head coach was unsure about the availability of Julian Ryerson, Julian Brandt and Maximilian Beier.
“We still have to wait and see with Ryerson, Brandt and Beier,” he added.
“Tomorrow we have our last training and then we will decide who can start in central defense next to Emre Can.”
Dortmund are currently sixth in the Bundesliga with 21 points from thirteen games, their worst start to a league match in seven years. They are twelve points behind leaders Bayern Munich, having drawn their last two league matches 1-1.
With 19 points in the Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund is the best home team in the Bundesliga this season. They are only better off after seven top home games in 2021/22 (21 points).
Hoffenheim are still winless in the league this season, taking just three points, although Sahin still expects a tough test against the 14th-placed side.
“We have fully analyzed Hoffenheim. We know what we are dealing with… But now we are focusing on ourselves and our game,” he said.
