Ajax -head coach Francesco Farioli has made it very clear that Jordan Henderson will not leave the club during the current transfer window.
The former captain of Liverpool has only been in the Amsterdam club since January last year when he ended his overwhelming six-month spell in Al-Etifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Henderson wanted to continue again this month after Monaco had made an offer for the 34-year-old. That offer was rejected before Henderson reportedly tried to force a movement by threatening to play for Ajax again.
Despite this alleged Ultimatum, Henderson played on Thursday 77 minutes for Ajax in a 2-1 win over Galatasaray in the Europa League.
He did not resist the team against Galatasaray, but he wore the bracelet on Sunday when Ajax had taken it against Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.
Ajax boss Faroli spoke with reporters prior to the start on Sunday: 'Jordan Henderson will certainly remain, he is our captain. The story is closed, 100 percent. '
On the eve of Sunday's match, a group of Ajax fans showed their support towards Henderson during an open training session.
Henderson had come under heavy fire from critics in the Dutch media and also from many fans.
Former Ajax player Wesley Sneijder had told him to be 'a man and to get up' to tackle the recent rumors.
But a group of Ajax fans then threw Henderson's name during the Saturday training session.
Sunday's match against Feyenoord saw Henderson made his 45th performance for Ajax. He still has to score his first goal for the club.
