Eredivisie Hoopfon Ajax has concluded their preseason with a 2-2 draw against as Monaco, but stayed in the hope when Brian Brobbey perished with an injury.
Ajax boss John Heitinga did not have all his players available to him, with Josip Sutalo, Kian Fitz-Jim, Jorrel Hato and Oscar Gloukh available.
Kenneth Taylor opened the score after 29 minutes in a sunny Amsterdam and ended a nice combination with Davy Klaassen and Wout Weghorst for an open goal. Mika Biereth answered in the same way for Monaco, who made it only five minutes after the opener of Taylor.
A rather disappointing Ajax side fell behind twenty minutes after the break. Mika gods could not pass Jordan Teze, after which the former PSV full-back passed the ball to Takumi Minamino, who tapped the ball for Monaco's first lead of the afternoon.
It went from bad to worse when Brian Brobbey, who replaced Wout Woghorst after 63 minutes, sat down after he had walked carefully because of an apparent ankle injury. A short cameo saw Brobbey being immersed shortly thereafter, with Oliver Edvardsen and Bertrand Traore came to the rush.

A sold -out Johan Cruyff Arena still saw Ajax taking a symbolic point when the Burkinese wing player switched a ball home from a layer of Owen Wijndal.
Further opportunities on Traore did not like it and Ajax ended their preseason with a 2-2 draw against as Monaco.
Ajax opens their Eredivisie season on Sunday 10 August with a home game against promoted Zijtelstar. While Monaco is playing a friendlier, next Friday against Inter, before they open their Ligue 1 campaign on Saturday 16 August against Le Havre.
