Barcelona Vooruit Ansu Fati did not have the season that many had hoped for him. The 22-year-old came in the season with a lot of optimism that was preached, but was hardly brought to the field. The Blaugrana are very open to an exit for the attacker, at least on loan.
Although he has missed six weeks of action due to a foot problem in the summer, and another month with a Hamstring -Teach, Fati is available for 23 games this season, but has only eight of them. Only one of them was a start, and in total he only had 186 minutes under Hansi film. Earlier this month he went on a run of four consecutive games without being admitted to the MatchDay team, because Flick made it clear that he would be better off to try his happiness elsewhere.
So far, however, Fati was steadfast about his desire to stay and fight for his place in Montjuic. There have been a series on the left to Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce, but apparently without any real intention behind them. According to MD, a report in De Telegraaf states that Ajax has asked for Fati and a loan movement. They had been in conversation for Real Valladolid's Raul Moro, but after a shoulder injury who wrote that deal, Fati now consider an option.
That said, he is not the only one, with Rabbi Matondo van Rangers and Wolves' Carlos Forbs forbs alternative options for the Dutch side. First and foremost, Ajax should convince Fati to leave before a deal could be seriously discussed.
Barcelona wanted Fati to go on loan elsewhere, not only to improve his chances of playing time, but also to free up space in their salary limit. If that happened, Barcelona could take a step for an attacker, in which Manchester United Marcus Rashford supplied their preferred option.
