There has been a lot of lobby for Ousmane Dembélé (28) to win the Ballon d'Or. The captain of Paris Saint-Germain led an “usmane, balloon d'Or” singing in the streets of Paris after the UEFA Champions League triumph of the club. He is one of the many teammates who believe that the Frenchman is worth winning the very coveted individual award.
In 2025, the French International Forward scored 33 goals and registered 15 assists in 49 performances in all competitions. In addition to the individual versions, there have been collective prices. PSG has done a clean sweep this year and won the Trofée des Champions, Champions League, Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.
Speaking with Dazn, PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi the lobby went one step further. “Ousmane's season is wonderful. There is no doubt that he will not win the Ballon d'Or. If he doesn't win, there is a problem with the Ballon d'Or. He has done everything,” said Al-Khelaifi.
Before the Ballon d'Or ceremony in September, Dembélé hopes to add another trophy, the FIFA Club World Cup. PSG will be confronted with Bayern Munich later today in the quarterfinals of the competition. For that game, the former Barcelona attacker admitted that winning the balloon d'Or was in his mind.
'I am thinking [the Ballon d’Or]. I know that, with the season I've had, I'm not far [from the Ballon d’Or]But I am focused on the goals before I think of myself, “he told Dazn.
