Al Nassr rival PSG in race for Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán

According to a report by Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have joined the race to sign Jhon Durán (21) from Aston Villa.

The Colombian forward is being coveted by Paris Saint-Germain during the current transfer window as the French side look to strengthen their attacking options for the second half of the season.

PSG believed they had almost reached personal terms with Durán's entourage. However, convincing Aston Villa to part ways with the forward proved much more difficult as the English club reportedly rejected a verbal offer of €75 million.

PSG is not the only European club looking at Durán. The Telegraph wrote that West Ham saw a bid of around €67 million rejected.

Aouna writes that Durán is very interested in the Saudi Arabian club. However, it will remain to be seen whether Al Nassr can do what West Ham and PSG have failed to do so far; Convince Aston Villa.
