N'Golo Kante scored a final gasp equalizer while Saudi Pro League leaders al-ittihad driven a 1-1 draw on Thursday against the third placed al-Qadsiah.
Kante arrived in the box to meet the cross of the former teammate of France Karim Benzema and guide it to goalkeeper Koen Castel to save a point for visitors in the sixth minute of the second half of the stop time.
Al-Qadsiah seemed to have secured the three points when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turned home a cut from Nandez in the 91st minute.
But Kant's late strike extended the lead of al-ittihad at the top of the rankings to seven points for the time, while Al-Qadsiah went on points with the second place Al-Hilal.
Defending champion Al-Hilal, however, gets the chance to reduce the gap to the leaders if they are confronted with Al-Fayha on Friday.

Date debrief: Leaders retain excellent record
Although they have now drawn three games in a row, Al-Eittihad expanded their line from home in the Saudi top flight to 16 games, thanks to the late level of Kante.
The side of Laurent Blanc scored a total of 28 goals in those 16 games.
Al-Qadsiah has since won none of their nine home games against Al-Eittihad (D3 L5). Al-Eittihad is the only team that has confronted Al-Qadsiah eight or more times at home without a victory in the competition.
Aubameyang has now scored seven goals for Al -qadsiah at home in the Pro League this season – more than any other player for the club in one season.
