Karim Benzema took a goal and two assists to clearly relocate four points on the Saudi Pro League Summit, after a 4-1 victory over Al-Wehda on Saturday.
Following the example of Al-Hilal's draw against Al-Riyad on Friday, Laurent Blanc's silk made full of that slip-up to get back closer to recovering the title they won in 2022-23.
Al-ittihad hit the front when Muhannad Al Shanqiti fiercely sent the ball out of the post, after collecting Benzema's neat film in the penalty area in the 35th minute.
But their joy was of short duration, where Al-Wehda recovered seven minutes later parity as the volley of Jawad El Yamiq from a distance that wriggled under the grip of Predrag Rajkovic.
Benzema, however, fired the visitors back for the tranquility and collected the rear wheel of Moussa Diaby in the box before he curled the ball in the right corner.
Al-Wehda head coach Daniel Carreno then saw a red card in the first half of the stopping time after a disagreement with a member of the Al-Entihad coaching staff.
Steven Bergwijn took care of the victory over the hour, rattled the ball for the first time past Abdullah Al Owaishir during the rebound of Diaby's blocked effort in the box.
Al-ittihad added further shine to an impressive display Late, with Housesem Aouar that combined well with Benzema before he curled the ball in the left corner.

Benzema continues to prove that age is only a number, in which the 37-year-old makes another meaningful contribution in the search of Al-Eittihad to the Saudi Pro League title.
This season only former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo (16) scored more Saudi Pro League goals than Benzema (15), while his strike on Saturday his 31st wax in Al-STIHAD colors of only 48 performances in all competitions.
