Alan Shearer has mentioned an All Guns Blazing-attacking line-up for his Premier League team of the week.
Shearer remains the topcorer of the Premier League of all time, and his attacking instincts do not seem to be dimmed in the 19 years since he retired.
After he had thrown his eye during the Weekend campaign, Shearer chose his XI -striking players on Monday and only had room for two defenders.
The Newcastle legend chose Ipswich's Alex Palmer in Doel after his striking representation in the 1-1 tie on his side at Aston Villa, but only chose Brighton's Adam Webster and Tottenham back Djed Spence to protect him for defense.
Both men kept clean sheets in their respective fixtures, with Brighton Chelsea defeating 3-0, while Spurs walked past Manchester United 1-0.
Further moving and Shearer went with a midfield spivot by Nico Gonzalez and Ryan Christie, with Everton playmaker Carlos Alcaraz just before them.
Gonzalez was branded a 'mini-rodri' by Pep Guardiola after the leading role in the 4-0 victory of Manchester City on Newcastle, while Christie scored the second goal of Bournemouth in their 3-1 victory at Buren Southampton.
Alcaraz also came to the score sheet on Saturday and reached the winner in the 2-1 victory of Everton in Crystal Palace.
Shearer muttered for some goals in the middle of the field, but was not done there because he selected no fewer than four Wingers in his side.
Brighton Duo Yankuba Minth and Kaoru Mitoma both made the cut after combining all three goals of the Seagulls against Chelsea, while Ethan Nwaneri and Omar Marmoush were somehow pressed just before them.
Nwaneri produced a stunning version that he saw he compared to Lionel Messi by Joe Cole in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Leicester, and Marmoush was an obvious choice after his hat trick for City.
At the front Mikel Merino got the nod after he came from the bank to score both goals from Arsenal as an improvised striker.
A total of nine goals were scored by the players in Shearer's XI at the weekend, and the ex-striker seems to think that this would be more than enough to get beyond an opposition after mentioning a team with an amazing lack of defensive coverage .
