Manchester United will sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer, but wants to reduce their £ 50 million price tag from £ 80 million in January – but Chelsea wants to act at a lower value for the Argentina International
Alejandro Garnacho Wil Chelsea and Chelsea Want Alejandro Garnacho. But whether he is the next member of the 'Bomb Squad' of Manchester United to leave remains in question.
Of the five players, Ruben Amorim was away from the first team of United this summer, they expressed the desire to leave, only Barcelona loaner Marcus Rashford has disappeared. Garnacho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho – ironically back in Manchester After Chelsea decided to pay a fine to cancel their summer transfer obligation – all remain in situ.
Argentina International Garnacho, however, looks the man to be the next through the starting door. Since his arrival has been a regular under Ruben Amorim, his talent is not questioned, but the Portuguese have had enough of his attitude and the drama that is delivered to the 21-year-old.
“I think you can understand with Garnacho and you can see that he is talented, he is a real talented boy,” Amorim said earlier in the summer. His comments after the game after just a replacement in the Europa League final were the last drop.
“I have the feeling – and I think it is clear – that Garnacho wants something else with a different leadership and I can understand that,” Amorim added. “So I don't think it's a problem. Sometimes you adapt to one man and you have the connection. Other times you want a new challenge.”
Chelsea believes that Garnacho, not taken on the United tour by the US, can shine in the Premier League for them. Garnacho believes that too.
He is desperate to move to Stamford Bridge and has already agreed personal conditions about a switch to West -London.
The question is whether Chelsea will meet the £ 50 million of United. That is considerably lower than the £ 80 million that the Red Devils asked for in January when Napoli came to call, but positions were changed; United is clearly no longer so happy to him, while Napoli has moved on Noa for a long time instead.
Plus, United could do with bringing in some money with more than £ 200 million on their new look attack by Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
Chelsea wants to get a deal as quickly as possible, but still wants to pay less than that. United has so far stated that that is the price. Take it or leave it behind.
For example, Garnacho continues to train in red – away from the first team of United – instead of blue as the latest shiny new acquisition of Chelsea.
