Alex Pereira accused of cheating as Magomed Ankalaev’s coach makes ‘ointment’ claim after UFC 313

The Magomed Ankalaev team accused Alex Pereira of the use of a gel -like substance to influence grip fairs on UFC 313.

Newly beaten UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Magomed Ankalaev and his team believe that Alex Pereira is cheated in the Octagon on UFC 313.

Ankalaev closed a long, winding road back to the UFC Light Heavyweight title with a unanimous decision victory on Pereira to put an end to the history of making the Brazilian. Although it was a back and forth fight, Ankalaev won the most stock markets on the feet and in the conflict, Pereira's elite stifled with an unpredictable approach and game plan.

Pereira and Ankalaev warmly left the octagon after a bij-times-heated structure to UFC 313. But after pleasantnesses were exchanged between the two parties in the immediate aftermath, the Ankalaev team strived back with somewhat confusing accusations after their title fight.

In a recent interview with Ushatayka, coach Sukhrab Magomedov of Ankalaev Pereira accused an unfair advantage for UFC 313.

“When Magomed pushed him against the fence in our corner, it seemed that Pereira had been greased with something,” Magomedov claimed. “Ankalaev said afterwards that he smelled as if he had a kind of ointment and he was sticky. Sweat did not fall off his body, it kept holding. This is also how it looked on his body.

“Glover Teixeira is really known for things like this.”

At the moment there is no direct proof of misconduct by Pereira and his team, nor have they been publicly tackled the allegations of Magomedov. Pereira successfully defended all 12 Takedown attempts by Ankalaev in five rounds at UFC 313.

If the allegations of Ankalaev are true, they will add to what a wild structure could be for an immediate rematch with Pereira. Ankalaev recently claimed that Pereira Rematch interviews are already underway and that they can meet again later this year.

Some have cried 'theft' on the score cards of Ankalaev vs. Pereira na UFC 313, and claimed that Pereira deserved to maintain the light heavyweight belt. But Tom Aspinall and others are perplexed by this idea and believe that the jury members are doing well.

In the meantime, Ankalaev is expanding his long light heavyweight undefeated stripe and closes a Jones hero record in the division. Before the title victory on Pereira, Ankalaev won recent victories over Aleksandar Rakić and Johnny Walker after fighting a draw against Jan Bachowicz for the then vacant title on UFC 282.
