Alex Pereira is told that he has zero chance in Magomed Ankalaev rematch… ‘It is a statement of fact’

A UFC legend does not hide his doubts about Alex Pereira's ability to overcome the arsenal of Magomed Ankalaev.

Pereira is preparing for his chance of redemption and to become two -time slightly heavyweight champion after his reign on 205 pounds earlier this year.

Ankalaev fired Pereira on UFC 313 and won a decision in T-Mobile Arena to put an end to a period of brutal dominance in the 'Patan' division.

After months of uncertainty about the status of the Brazilian and talking about Pereira that may have moved to heavyweight, the Rematch was recently confirmed. Ankalaev will defend his title against Pereira on UFC 320 in Las Vegas on October 4.

According to an ex-title Challenger, the result is already a foregone conclusion.

Chael Sonnen has extremely faith in predicting Magomed Ankalaev to beat Alex Pereira

During a video that was recently uploaded to his YouTube channel, former middleweight and light heavyweight UFC title Challenger Chael Sonnen responded on the latest round of Dana White of high-profile fighting announcements.

At the next championship conflict in one of his former divisions, 'The Bad Guy' rejected every suggestion that Pereira could return to the throne at UFC 320. Sonnen saw nothing of the Brazilian in his first fight with Ankalaev to suggest that he can make the necessary losses in 15 losses.

“When Alex finally goes for a triple camp status, that in itself becomes a big problem,” Sonen said.

“I liked the idea of Alex vs. Tom (Aspinall) now … Alex is not going to beat Ankalaev. This is a factual explanation.

“They have already fought. There was nothing in that competition that you would believe if we did it again, we will change the results,” Sonen added.

Alex Pereira insists that he has fought with stricter opponents than Magomed Ankalaev

It does not mean that Pereira would absolutely disagree with the claim of Sonen.

Pereira says that during his MMA career during his MMA career, he has to deal with revenge on revenge at the champion, but also to take revenge on the champion.

“I absolutely fought against stricter opponents,” Pereira told the SchMO. “The situation itself on that day (UFC 313), the circumstances, made him a hard opponent.

“But I certainly have fought people much more difficult than him.”
