The rematch between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev could take place much earlier than many had expected.

After Alex Pereira was recently dethroned by Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313, Dana White stated that an immediate rematch 'probably' was the route that the promotion would fall.

Fortunately, Ankalaev accepted that potential, in which all other potential opponents were closed for the time being, where the Rematch with Alex Pereira is the fight that the fan base desires want.

After such a passive performance by Pereira, the 37-year-old adjustments promised to make the Rematch and it is advised to take the front foot when the two meet again.

Pereira was the most active champion in 2024 and so a quick change for him in 2025 would probably not be a problem, but the date for their Rematch is currently unknown.

'Patan' responded to Ankalaev's claim with a simple reaction of four words.

“Let's go Ali (Abdelaziz). Chama,” Pereira posted on his Instagram story while he seemed to be on a flight.

Dricus Du Plessis was not happy with the title loss of Alex Pereira

Together with the majority of the UFC fan base, UFC Middleweight Champion, Dricus Du Plessis was not satisfied when the 37-year-old lost his title on UFC 313.

Pereira has previously suggested to possibly go back to 185 pounds to take on 'Still Knocks' and it is an idea that the South African welcomed with open arms.

After losing his title, however, the potential was taken away and Du Plessis believes that he lost the 'largest payment day' of his life when Pereira was beaten.
