Former UFC -light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has speculated about a potential Magomed Ankalaev -Rematch.
Earlier this year, Alex Pereira suffered his first UFC -Light Heavyweight setback against Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313. After a history of history in 2024, Pereira's return to the Octagon on UFC 313 saw him the UFC Light Heavyweight title Losing to Ankalaev.
While the Pereira vs. Ankalaev Pre-Fight Scherts was heated, things were warm between the two light heavyweights immediately after the fight. Despite the fact that Pereira and Ankalaev Verbaal agreed to withdraw it after UFC 313, things have taken a turn in recent weeks.

Ankalaev has repeatedly claimed that Pereira will not be the first opponent of his young title line and claims that the former title holder is 'retired' and negotiations escapes. In the midst of all chaos after UFC 313, Pereira remains focused on one goal for his octagonal return.
During a recent interview with UFC Brazil, Pereira knew the air where things stand with the Ankalaev -Rematch.
“We will certainly talk about my next fight soon,” said Pereira.
“I don't have a specific date yet, but we already have an idea. I took this free time to rest, because I worked hard in 2024. I think my body got tired, I had some injuries, so I decided to take it easy, more on the recovery side, and now I come back.

It was originally proposed that a Pereira vs. Ankalaev -Rematch could take place at UFC 318 in Chicago, before the UFC de Drus du Persis vs. Khamzat chimaev -headliner announced. Now it is the earliest that the fight could take place, September for UFC 319.
Ankalaev has not lost any fight since his UFC debut, a buzzing entry against Paul Craig in March 2018. Before UFC 313, Pereira was undefeated in his light heavyweight career, after making the full-time transition from middleweight after a loss to Israel Adesanya on UFC.

While the Rematch interviews continue, Adesanya believes that Pereira has great opportunities to take revenge on Ankalaev when they meet again. Adesanya believes that the exponential growth of Pereira at MMA, especially after a well -affected fight on UFC 313, makes a rematch intriguing.
Pereira put all Takedown attempts from Ankalaev in their UFC 313 collision, a surprising result given the wrestling bravery of Ankalaev. But the dangerous approach of Ankalaev on the feet was given the lead on the jury's scorecards to win through unanimous decision.
An announcement regarding a Pereira vs. Ankalaev Rematch could be done in the coming weeks.
