The last man who beats Alex Pereira in the kickboxing ring, Artem Vakhitov, has rejected an offer to fight with the UFC.
On October 8, 2024, the Russian produced a sublime version in the Contender Series 71 of Dana White, in which he eliminated Islem Masraf in the first round.
Instead of taking on the promotion on an offer to go full -time, he returns to kickboxing instead. At Glory 100, Vakhitov will fight against Rico Verhoeven, so that Francis Ngannou's hope for a confrontation with the Dutchman, at least for the time being, is ruined.
And the reason behind this decision is extremely interesting.

Artem Vakhitov was not happy with what the UFC offered
During an interview about the Ariel Helwani show, Artem Vakhitov discussed frankly why he did not sign with the UFC.
Eventually the hunter and the organization could not come to terms, because apparently he was not offered anything else than another competitor who came through Dana White's Contender Series.
The striker explained: “Unfortunately we could not reach an agreement with UFC. Because they have their own protocol, but we still have good relationships with them, so that's it.
“Now we announce a big fight against Rico Verhoeven. I think Rico doesn't have to be [explained as an opponent] Because he is known and sure, we wanted this fight a long time ago. For me it is a good opportunity to become a double champion, and it was in my mind a long time ago.
“UFC always finishes from a standard contract after the Contender Series of Dana White. Unfortunately we could not reach an agreement, or [there were] Some things we didn't agree [on].
'When we received an offer [from GLORY] And we saw the news that all Russian hunters are coming back to Glory, we were given an offer to fight against Rico and probably the opportunity to become a double champion, we very easily agree. And certainly for good money, why not? “
Magomed Ankalaev offers update on Alex Pereira Rematch
While Vakhitov enjoys the possibility of becoming a two-weight glory kickbokkamioen, his old enemy, Alex Pereira, is determined to claim his second UFC title.
In March 'Patan' lost his belt in a close match with Magomed Ankalaev.
The couple produced a fascinating meeting, so that the fans were split about who should have gained the victory.
Now Ankalaev has given an update about whether he will rematch Pereira.
