Liverpool is braced for bad news about the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid when his contract with Anfield ends this summer
After months of speculation and hearing cases, it seems that it happens: Real Madrid comes after the conquest of Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the right back ready to leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Talk about what can come for Alexander-Arnold, 26, has been Rife all season. It is well documented that Real are long-term admirers of the English star, whose contract ends at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Even during what a dream campaign has been for the Reds, who are ready to win the Premier League title in the first year of Arne Slot at the helm, Real Madrid's interest in Alexander-Arnold hung about them.
Alexander-Arnold has become one of Liverpool's most influential players since the Academy ranks progress and became vice-captain of the team last year.
As such, the Sky Sport Switzerland report that claims that the future of Alexander-Arnold is now 'arranged' as a big blow to Slot, who has been consistent in saying that he wants to keep Alexander-Arnold in the club alongside Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
But another figure who will be sad to see Alexander-Arnold leave Anfield is Jurgen Klopp, who gave the defender his chance in the first team.
Klopp left to Anfield last summer after a fertile spell of nine years on Merseyside. During that period he managed many nice players, some of whom left his watch. But it was the words of the German in the aftermath of the transfer from Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona who remained in the memory for some fans.

“I told him to stay here and they will eventually build a statue in honor of you,” Klopp revealed shortly after the deal was closed in 2018. “Go somewhere else to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will just be another player. You can be a little more here.”
While the move from Coutinho to Barcelona turned out to be a failure, few would support the future move from Alexander-Arnold to the Bernabeu to play out in a similar way.
But Klopp's words can resonate given the connection that Alexander-Arnold has with Liverpool as a club. Alexander-Arnold, a fan of Boyhood Reds, joined the academy at the age of six, continued to increase 350 performances.
But with several reports that claim that Alexander-Arnold has now 'agreed' a five-year contract with Real Madrid, his 20-year-old chapter seems to close with the Reds.
