Alexander-Arnold in tears, Liverpool moment that broke him and Slot problems

Boyhood Red Trent Alexander-Arnold is now closer to Liverpool's exit door than ever, with Real Madrid probably adding a big name to their Galactico schedule

Local Lad Trent Alexander-Arnold finally seems to exchange the familiar environment of Anfield for the clear, white lights of the Bernabeu with his contract that runs down.

The Star Full-Back from Liverpool is a red since the age of six, and has risen by their Academy rangs while he was named Captain at U16 and U18-level-to become an integral part of a Champions League and Premier League-winning side. The manager who allowed him to bloom on Merseyside in a trophy winner, Jurgen Klopp, has since found Weiden new, and although the progress is clear under Arne Slot, changes now appears.

Alexander-Arnold's contract is going in the summer, and Real Madrid has long seen this sniffing around, in an attempt to lure the 26-year-old on a free transfer.

With reports that now suggest that this long-term interest in materializing in a deal, Mirror Football takes back along the road that led to the decision of the defender-including tears of the Englishman when his German mentor left, an annoying announcement and the problems with his current manager.

Tears during the farewell to Klopp

With reports from Sky Sports Switzerland who claim that Alexander-Arnold has made a decision and will reject all Liverpool approaches with regard to contract renewal in favor of a blockbuster to Madrid, the origin of such a desire to fly the nest can start when another left Anfield.

After being appointed in 2015, Klopp quickly brought a gloomy Reds team to the edge of the European glory and a better with a Champions League victory in 2019. Seven more pieces of silverware would follow, but a shock of January 2024 revealed that he would resign from his post at the end of the season.

The German Anfield-curtain call came last May with a 2-0 win against Wolves, and the visibly emotional reaction of Alexander-Arnold might be restless to him.

“I have been a large part and felt a large part of it. The manager made sure that I felt a large part of it,” Alexander-Arnold said via Play, moving to tears. “Under his guidance, I developed as a man as a player.

“This is not all possible without him.

“I can never thank enough for that. He has let my dreams come true. Ask my family, ask someone. I am not emotional. I can't remember I cried the last time! To be honest, I haven't cried for years. So this is very strange to me. It just shows how much he means for me and the club. “

The announcement that 'shook' him

While the emotional farewell apparently moved Alexander-Arnold, Klopp's initial earth-oriented revelation caught that he would leave, Liverpool caught the defender overwhelmed.

“Just a complete surprise for all of us as players. It was one that we didn't see coming. You never do that, especially if things are going so well,” Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports when Klopp broke the news to his players.

“We flew up and around the top of the competition. We are fighting on all four fronts at that time for every trophy we could, so you expect the good times to keep coming and coming and coming.

“So if he tells us the news and his decision, we must clearly respect it, but it is one of those who do not want to hear a player, and it was one who shook the dressing room for a few hours.”

Discord with lock

The loss of Klopp clearly struck Alexander-Arnold hard, but the man who has replaced him, lock went to the water to the hot chair of Anfield. Although the hope for several trophies has disappeared, the men of the Dutchman are good in the steering chair when it comes to supplying a Premier League title.

Success on the field, however, has not suppressed the desire of the 26-year-old and a heated moment from the volatile phases of lock can alleviate such persistent frustrations.

In a 2-0 win over Brentford in August, the right back was taken just after the 70 minutes before Conor Bradley. He continued in the Dugout after a discordant conversation with Slot and looked full -time.

“He didn't look so happy after he was removed-I understand it,” Slot admitted in his press conference after the game. “Every player wants to play 90 minutes. But the players on the couch from the start were not really happy with my choices.”

It must be said that Alexander-Arnold has been incredibly free for the tactics of his new manager in what a wild impressive debut campaign has been. But the change that arrived when Klopp left is might never be shaken, and the 'scouser in our team' now seems to be following the German to a new beginning.
