Alexander Volkanovski asked on a date of Bizarre Fan during UFC 312 appearance

During the Vechtweek for large pay-per-view events, UFC will often bring out the sport legends or some current stars for a Q&A session with local fans. It usually happens before the weighting and Australian viewers received a real treat in Sydney yesterday.

From two -way world champion Cormier to Australian fan favorites such as Alexander Volkanovski and Tuisivasa, they got an exciting run in the location. But perhaps one of the strangest moments came when the former featherweight was offered a completely different kind of support.

“Volk, I love you, you are my idol,” said the fan Volanovski before asked the question. “I just wonder if you are free next week or at any time to hang around or maybe a lunch, I would like to do it.”

Tuisivasa immediately seemed disturbed and asked the public member: “Did you just ask him on a date?” When he answered, “Yes, I did,” the heavyweight jokes made that the security should remove him from the building, while Volkanovski giggled in the middle.

Volkanovski tried to tell the fan how much he appreciated the gesture, especially after he was told “I love him”. Tuivasa and Cormier, however, both had even more fun about the fan, where Volanovski joked: “Why makes everyone difficult? I appreciate you, was it a date? I am married!”

Alexander Volkanovski meets Ilia Topuria during the UFC 312 Fight Week

One of the interesting side stories of this Vechtweek has been the Run-Ins between old rivals Ilia Topuria and Alexander Volkanovski. The pair fought for the featherweight belt last year and is expected to decline it again so quickly.

They are ready to compete this weekend in a kind of cold war in opposite corners, where the champion takes care of his brother Aleksandre Topuria. He is confronted with a short-notitation butant Colby Dicknesse, a good friend and teammate of Volkanovski.

The couple continues to come across each other during the week and seems friendly when they meet. Topuria even posed for a photo with his old rival next to Urijah Faber and Charles Oliveira during a backstage moment.
