Alexander Volkanovski is not the hunter he once was, according to an MMA icon.
On UFC 314, in the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, USA, 'The Great' recaptured his featherweight championship with a sparkling display against Diego Lopes.
In the moments afterwards, the double 145 pound king was cheerful. Volkanovski shared a heart -warming moment with Israel Adesanya and quickly discussed future fights.
However, a former challenger of the world title is not too enthusiastic to see him return to the Octagon.

Chael Sonnen explains why he is worried about Alexander Volkanovski
Chael Sonnen remained deeply worried after watching Alexander Volkanovski in the weekend recovering his throne.
While the Australian won in dominant fashion, 'The American Gangster' thinks that the warrior looks a shadow of the man he once was.
In a video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel, Sonen said: “I saw moments of people, where people looked old. I saw moments of people where he was hit and hurt from shots that at some point would never have touched him.
“I want to make sure that I give an honest account to people, who is the best to have ever done it. But did he accept the rightful opponent? We know that the number one man (Ilia Topuria) wasn't there; he left, so who was the right man?
“I don't get through that fight, screaming to see people fight against someone. You hear and think,” Chael, you're very rude. “So, let me turn the gun on you again, leave me a comment, who are you dying to see him fight?
“That is where I happen to like the idea to match him with Yair Rodriguez.”

Although Sonnen is somewhat intrigued by the idea that Volkanovski is going back with Rodriguez, the Mexican is not the only potential next challenger.
In the aftermath of UFC 314 there was another competitor who enveloped a potential shot on the big shot.
The MMA star saw his chance to throw his name in the mix and quickly went to social media.
The undefeated hunter generated hype for a future confrontation and proclaimed Volkanovski.
