Volkanovski offers O'Malley Expert Advice for UFC 316 Rematch
In their first collision at UFC 306, 'The Machine' Dvalishvili dominated the fight with its wrestling and grab pressure, so that O'Malley stood none of its sensational striking.
Nevertheless, in the final round O'Malley landed a few crushing body shots and only a few days from their rematch, DvalishVili admitted that if he landed a few more, the result of the fight could be different.
Although 'Suga' went to UFC 306 with a torn Labrum, the broad consensus is that Dvalishvili will again dominate the 30-year-old with his ruthless pressure.
The current UFC -Fedweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski,, however, has given O'Malley some advice, which results from his fighting against Islam Makhachev, which is also known for its dominant struggle.
“The fight must look exactly the same, right? That is what you would think, the fight should look exactly the same,” Volkanovski said in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Are we going to see another Sean? Yes, I think we will do that. The key factor for him is the possibility not to worry and to hesitate and to give the Takedowns. Worry about that … Game plan around him even come in, make that part of your style.
“If you are really worried about that Takedown, you won't be so free on the feet and we know how good Sean O'Malley is when he is free on the feet, I think he is one of the best strikers in the UFC, he is incredibly on the feet,” Volkanovski continued.
