All the sports stars who have flocked to Kandima for their holiday

Premier League stars past and present flows in their throws to one resort in the Maldives for their vacation.

Kandima has established itself as one of the most much sought after Maldivian Islands since it was built in 2017.

Extensive work is still being done to expand the island resort and indeed expand to other nearby islands.

However, the clear blue waters that you have to see is the calling card of Kandima and many stars have had to view it.

Ederson (Man City)

After winning the Treble in 2023, Vierde Verterson in style by going to the luxury island for his vacation.

This season a series of four consecutive Premier League title for the Brazilian, but he is perhaps the most decorated Pro to adorn the resort. He left his gloves at home and played on the field during his stay!

Joe Gomez (Liverpool)

The defender of Liverpool has just picked up the second Premier League winners medal from his career and in 2022 he also enjoyed the pleasures of the Maldives with Kandima.

The defender celebrated his eight -year anniversary with his partner during his journey. Still 28, Gomez still has much of his career in the top flight on the left.

Marc Cucurella (Chelsea)

Cucurella has not been in the resort yet, but he was planned later this year after he had to cancel last year when he was admitted to the Spanish Euro-winning team.

It is understanding that the Chelsea star will take his entire family, from whom you are able to get to know and see in season 2 married to the competition.

Former Premier League stars include: Daniel Agger (Liverpool)

The Dane stayed on the island in 2020 just before the outbreak of Covid (not a bad place to go before you were locked up!).

He played 175 Premier League matches for Liverpool and won both the FA Cup and the Champions League during his time at Anfield.

Wes Brown (Man United)

The 23-way England International visited the resort when it opened for the first time in 2017, just when he played for Kerala Blasters in nearby India.

As a five-time Premier League champion and two-time winner of the Champions League, he is perhaps the most decorated football player to adorn the beautiful beaches of Kandima.

Patrick Cutrone (Wolves, now Como)

The former AC Milan Wonderkid went to the Maldives in the summer of 2022.

He went with the Italian defender Davide Calabria (who is from AC Milan in Bologna on-Loan). After stuttering during his time in England, Cutrone has found his feet again with Como and has 30 goals in almost 100 games.

Alberto Moreno (Liverpool)

The former Liverpool left back that now went to como with como on a honeymoon to Kandima went with his wife, Lilia Granadilla in 2021.

Based on his socials, the Spaniard likes to enjoy the Maldives, but had a special praise for Kandima.

Jack Butland (Stoke, now Rangers)

The nine times England International brought his family to the luxury resort in the summer of 2023 while enjoying his break of the game.

After returning during the holidays, he concluded a loan agreement to Manchester United. He is still the number one of Rangers to this day.

Kandima is not your typical outing, because it has a go-kart track, art lessons, a full-size football field, tennis and badminton courts and will soon open Playspace with VR gaming, a bowling alley, arcade games, escape spaces and karaoke rooms.

That is a supplement to what you would expect – a lot of water -based activity and a top of the Line Kids Club.

But what really drives the star to Kandima is certainly the amazing view with turquoise ocean and sandy beaches. More and more sports stars seem to go to the islands.
