Alphonso Davies talks with Bayern on ice – Real Madrid target keeps options open

The future of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has been a tough story to follow, with a number of twists and turns. It appears he will enter the final six months of his contract without reaching an agreement with anyone.

According to The Daily Briefing, Davies is keeping his options open for the January transfer window. Bayern are still hopeful of a new contract after significant progress in talks in recent weeks, but a further strain on relations between the Bavarian team and agent Nedal Huoseh has put all talks on hold until January.

Huoseh will spend time in England in the new year, and while Liverpool may face him, Christian Falk names Real Madrid and Manchester United as the two most likely alternatives at the moment. He notes that if Liverpool want him, they would be in conflict.

The latest reports in Spain indicate that Real Madrid are becoming increasingly frustrated with Davies' indecisiveness and want an answer by early January. It looked like Bayern were close to an agreement earlier this month, but that turned out to be premature. Barcelona had also inquired about his demands, but it seems their finances are preventing them from making a real offer.
