Barcelona sources deny move for breakout La Liga starlet

Las Palmas midfielder Dario Essugo has been one of the most intriguing newcomers to Spanish football this summer, with the loanee from Sporting CP impressing in the early months of the season. According to reports, Barcelona also tried to sign him over the summer, and Real Madrid are said to be monitoring his progress.

However, the former is not the case, at least according to sources at the club referred to by MD. They say the Blaugrana did not move for the 19-year-old in the summer as claimed, nor are they monitoring him as a potential future option.
